Why a Sustainable Travel Programme Matters, Nov 3, 11am
November 3, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

About this event
As business travel resumes, one of the biggest priorities for enterprises is to reduce their carbon emissions to help realise sustainability goals. Measuring and reducing carbon emissions is the first step in the race to net zero and, given that business travel can account for up to 80% of an organisation’s carbon emissions, the time to put your travel programme on a sustainable footing is now. The good news is that you’ll quickly find champions for sustainability measures amongst your employees: A new SAP Concur report found that a quarter of business travellers would not consider travelling for business unless they were able to put sustainability at the core of their trip. So here is an opportunity for operational change and better business traveller experiences.
The question is: Where do you start? And how do you measure and reduce CO2 without compromising your company’s need to meet with customers?
We have teamed up with SAP Concur to share best practices and learn from experts on how to ensure your travel programme is as sustainable as it can be.
In this webinar, we will look at the following questions
- What is the impact of travel on the planet?
- What is a sustainable travel programme?
- How can companies measure their business travel carbon emissions?
- What parts of business travel emissions can be measured?
- What is the role of the business travel/procurement manager in sustainability?
- How can business travel/procurement managers work with their sustainability teams?
- What tools and methodologies are available to a sustainable travel programme?
- What questions should we be asking in RFPs to ensure working with a sustainable supplier?
- Where does business travel fit into scope 1,2 and 3 and what do we need to report on?
- What is net zero vs carbon neutrality?
- Should we be offsetting our carbon emissions and if so how?
- What is SAF?
- How do we include SAF in our programmes?
- What best practice tips would you give to put together a sustainable travel programme?
