Although 68% of savers want their money invested responsibly, only 5% have moved their pension. Pension fund trustees have a duty to manage risk; “climate risk is investment risk”. REAL Sustainability looks at The Centre for Alternative Technology’s (CAT) Zero Carbon Britain report. CAT considers the challenges in meeting a UK 2030 net zero target. It presents solutions using proven technologies for all sectors from domestic, industrial and transport to land use. Its scenario reduces GHG emissions from 2017 levels by 91% with the balance removed by carbon capture.
